SDM x VBN

There’s always a bit of apprehension the first time you get to shoot a new sport. This project was my first time shooting Mountain Bikes flying down the hill, and being a creative project for myself, the pressure was on to create something i’ll be proud to show.

I was more than happy to have my friend Keven St-Pierre, fellow cinematographer, volunteer to ride (and being good at it). With two amazing location available to shoot, Sentiers du moulin & Vallée Bras-du-Nord, we had the best playground to make something great.

Small insight, all the flash/freeze frames in the final edit are actual 35mm film pictures that i took the day of shooting. The lens flares are also part of the actual picture, because my camera body was opened up slightly during the whole shoot, adding so much to those still frames!
