Le Dépanneur is my second short film shot with Nicolas. It was great fun because we could add the experience of Modern Love, our first short together. New challenges on this one included the adaption to shoot all night and still deliver the quality we wanted. Cafeine helped A LOT! The cold was also an issue, with temps reaching -25c on our exterior scenes, we had to stay outside with the camera, otherwise it would fog up!
It was a great learning experience and our biggest crew yet, having the help of a gaffer/h&mu/sound professional really added to the final result.
The short was opened in Montreal at Court D’Un Soir and then was screened at the Pittsburg shorts, the 44th Cleveland International Film Festival and the Fantasia Film Festival in Montréal.
